In the summer of 1990, Bators, intoxicated, was struck by a taxi while crossing a street in Paris. He was taken to hospital but reportedly left before seeing a doctor after waiting several hours. Reports indicate that he died in his sleep as the result of a concussion.
According to Dick Manitoba's "Punk Rock Book of Lists", the car thing was the "official story", but "Those in the know, who prefer not to be named, concur that it was a straight-up OD."
That would seem alot more in character. He probably scored the stuff from the taxi driver. Took too much, freaked out and went to the hospital. Freaked out more about getting caught, went home and did more to try and mellow.
